I really need to do this more often

Signed into the old BB email account today and found a message from Happy Jack from back in September. Glad to know somebody's still kicking in this space from the old days, what a crowd there was.  Some I only knew only in the ether, others I had the pleasure to meet in real life.  Drinks with Green Eyes and the Penguin, a nice lunch with Bellacara in her home town on my way to Cali.  Another I stopped in Gainesville to see one afternoon for a meal.

It's Thanksgiving in Charlotte, damned cold here today.  I hope that everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving with friends and family today and enjoys the holiday season that's coming upon us.  I'm leaving Friday for Ft. Lauderdale to see some old friends before I leave on a cruise - headed back to my Caribbean Pirate roots for a week - it's time for sum rum!

Hey y'all, if there's anybody still out there, I'm here.  Hello...?

It's July, 2012.  I'm in a whole new place.

Okay, I teased you guys a year ago.  Wasn't on purpose, I promise...

For those of you who were around for the beginning - the wife is gone, the business is gone, and if you're in FLA, well, I'm gone.

I've settled in NC, the place has a history of pirates so I kinda feel at home here.  New line of work, new way of life, and, for all intents and purposes, single.  Suppose that's the way a pirate should be eh?

I've been thinking about coming back here for a while, gotta say I'm flattered to have had a few emails from some regulars over the past year, and well, I'm back.  I miss my writing, my posts du jour.  Tell me is there still an HNT?  Still a Fuck You Friday?  Would you still welcome a Free Boobie Tuesday?  Or has the world moved on, are those old hat? 

I need to pick up where I left off.  I need to come back to the world of stories and rants and random observations on life.  I want to see my old friends.  I don't live that far from April now, we still talk.  Haven't heard from Green Eyes in years, and miss her.  Bellacara, well, now that's a woman who...   damn sure miss her too.  I know how to find her, she actually shows up on my LinkedIn account... but it'd be great if she'd say hi on her own.  Kelly, Maureen, Jack - y'all wrote, are you still out there?  MG?  Tell me you're out there somewhere... name the Waffle House, I'll be there!

Yep, I'd love to see the old crowd, but hell, how about some new friends too.  There's way too much fun to be had here.  If you're new and stopping by check out some old posts.  Some of the stories are actually pretty good if I do say so myself.  So to old friends welcome back, and to new friends welcome - glad  you stopped by.  And stay tuned, cuz baby I'm back.

More like nearly two damn years. To those that still stop by, WTF? Yeah, I tend to go by your places too just to see who's still around. Some are, most aren't. The last two years have bit, big time.

I'm starting a new one of these, it's located down the road a bit at it's own url. I'm gonna start writing again cuz things were good then. If you still stop by and want to read the trials and tribulations of the boy behind the man behind the pirate drop me a line and I'll send the address your way.

But it's getting damned close. Seems that I am just throwing up quarterly posts now. Do I suck or what?

Hey to all in the blogosphere, old friends and new. Yea, just fucking busy, but now I wonder busy doing what. Things have slowed down, tremendously, and it's tough keeping things rolling but never say die right?

Just wanted to say Hey I'm still alive. Hope that can be said for all my old friends. Family is good, as good as they can be anyway. Business is surviving, slow, but surviving. Watching people move out of the office park every month, we're about half full now. Economy sucks but I'm sure y'all know that.

Too stubborn to close this place, I like it, and what it meant to me. Thinking maybe I can take my 2:30 mental slowdown time to do an update here occasionally. Every day about 2 or so I want to go to sleep and productivity dies, not sure what's up with that, just trying to get around it.

Y'all be good, I'll be back.

Been awhile, damn long while.

Big HEY THERE to those die hards who still wander the halls here seeking some sign of life, nice to be missed. I been wishin for the simpler days. Days when that half hour or hour was available for a FreeBooby Tuesday, FUCKyou Friday or Half Nekkid posts.

The Pirate's extra special good friend Green Eyes ventured down from Tennesssee for a visit. She was hanging on the beach with her family, trying to remember why she moved to the north land. We had drinks, of course, and chatted and made fun of the strange people dancing. Thanks for visiting girl. Someday there'll be time off that will allow a motorcycle tour through TN.

Even though all I ever do is work there have been some fun things goin on. Went to Anna Maria a few weekends ago, drank rum on the beach. Went to Lauderdale in April for my cousin's wedding, helluva weekend on the beach with golf too. Saw "Some Like it Hot" at the Tampa Theater one Sunday, Casablanca is this Sunday. Good time, black and white classics on the big screen and it's not your typical theater, it's an old classic too.

Here's hoping the whole crew is doing well, and I'll try to not make it 4 1/2 months till I do this again.

Bonus time - HHNT people.
